| Internships |
The Training and Placement Cell of Lloyd Law College has made it compulsory for all students from third year onwards and voluntary for second year students, to go in for regular internships with a view to provide them adequate on-the-job exposure such that they are able to sharpen their skills and comprehend the practical situations of a lawyer. Students of law have been trained/apprenticed engaged and employed by the various Law Firms, Corporate Houses, Limited Companies, Multi-National Firms, Advocate Houses, and Chartered Accountant Firms, LPOs etc. under the said internship Program. Regular association of various legal and non-legal agencies, local, state and central legal authorities of different hierarchy and most emphatically the rural and local people with the college students and the Legal Cell of the college and the Government agencies. The Practical Training, Practice and Placement program had been a great learning, encouraging and satisfying on the part of the students, Guardians and the College and opening of great vistas to legal aspirants in social, economic and political perspectives.
Procedure for Internship On or before October 30 and March 15 each year, the students are to submit an application, in the form prescribed for Internship during winters and summers, to the Internship and Placement Officer. She/He will correspond with Advocates, Judges, Law Officers, companies and other establishments of law to get their willingness to accept the candidates on placement. On receipt of their willingness, the candidates concerned will be informed to prepare for undertaking the assignment.
Early in January and September all placement candidates will be given an orientation on the work to be done, procedure to be followed, records to be kept, reports to be written and the standard of respect, loyalty and professionalism to be maintained while under training with various organizations. They have to submit their internship certificate compulsorily and to maintain a diary and on their return, a viva-voce is conducted to help evaluate the work done during past days and to submit.
